Beach
Combing/Whale Watching
If
you have a seafaring soul a one hour
drive finds you barefoot, walking
on the beach, whale watching, shell
gathering, kite flying, or reading
a book while listening to the waves
of the Pacific Ocean caressing the
shore. But you don't have to live
there with all its rain and fog. Hwy
101 along the Oregon coast offers
shops, parks, and unique tourist attractions
like the Sealion caves and the Oregon
Aquarium once home to Kako the Killer
Whale.

Hiking
Spend a weekend hiking the rim of sparkling
blue Crater
Lake, spying our feathered friends in bird watching adventures in
our old growth national forests or maybe Diamond
Lake is more to your liking? Oregon has many well known and not so
well known trails that traverse all over its national, state, and local
parks.
Plentiful trails for walking, biking, running,
and hiking are not all that is abundant in Oregon. Oregon's wildlife
and bird
population is quite extensive. Currently, there are at least eleven
ecoregions where there is an ongoing birding classification being maintained. |
